Slowly getting back – And big changes to come
After a race I like to use the first couple of weeks to just train whatever I feel like and what my body wants. This is basically to give myself a bit of a mental and physical break from being on a strict schedule for the months leading up to the race. So instead of burning myself out and jumping straight back into a new training cycle this allows me to regain the motivation and desire for chasing a new goal.
After a couple of weeks I’m usually really motivated to get back to a set schedule and chase something new. This is after all how I work best.
So at the moment I’m Just slowly getting back to running again and training what I feel like on the day. I supplement with the spin bike, some strength and core training to keep my body ready.
This is also perfect timing since I’m getting ready to start a new job from the new year. It’s going to be a big change for me and I’m really excited. I have been working quite some time now as a physiotherapist in the Private sector for a company called ProTreatment. It has been really great and I have evolved a lot, but now I have gotten the opportunity to take over my own place with 2 of my really good friends back from my study-days. The new clinic is located right by the track at Østerbro in Copenhagen and it is a perfect location.
I will give a more thorough update about this soon, but I’m excited.
