First impression of the Vomero 14 – Compared to the faster models

Running shoes. I got my new pair of the Nike Vomero 14 last week and have now had the chance to test them out for a couple of runs. As I wrote in my post about the details and technology behind this new release – the Vomero 14 is actually a whole new shoe and not just a follow up to the Vomero 13. I was very happy to here that since I’m actually not really a big fan of the 13’ model. I have really liked the Vomero model in the past but the Vomero 13 was just not a good update in my opinion. The Vomero 14 has definitely gotten an upgrade though and in short if your…

Keep your sneakers and trainers clean – Make them look like new..

Following my post about CleanSneaks and how to make shoes smell good again I also wanted to do prober review of their cleaning supplies. To keep all our shoes looking good and maybe even bring new life to some of those old trainers. I have tested out their Original Sneakers Kit which is also the one I have been using for the last couple of years.   In this kit you will find the following products: – Cleaning soap – Brush – Small cleaning towel It is so easy to use and will make a huge improvement in just a few minutes. You simply apply the soap directly on your sneaker. Then add a bit of water to your brush and…

Do your sneakers, trainers or running shoes smell?? – CleanSneaks

We all know the smell of old training shoes.. Not the best. I often get compliments for how clean and new my sneakers look and it’s been something I have always tried to be on top of. If you take care of your shoes they can last for a long time and can indeed stay fresh looking and even smelling. CleanSneaks is a company I have been using for quite a few years now. Basically since they started coming out with their own products. It’s a small company that started with just a couple of young guys based out of an apartment at Nørrebro, Copenhagen. They produce cleaning supplies and Refresher products for sneakers/training shoes. Their products is produced in…

My marathon shoe – Nike Pegasus Turbo

The original Nike Pegasus Turbo has been with me all through my marathon prep and since I started back running after my injury. It has been on my feet through all my long tough weekend sessions and it has become a favorite. It fits my feet really well and goes well with my running style. It’s a perfect balance of a lightweight shoe with some bounce and speed but still stabile and cushioned enough for the long distances. I am actually not that fond of the normal Pegasus model but this model just felt right since the first time I tried them on. They are a bit banged up by now from all the training, but as a final tribute…

Sweet Release: NIKE REACT RUNNER MID WR ISPA

Sneakers.. On the 21st of November Nike is releasing a new edition to the “React Element Family” – the “NIKE REACT RUNNER MID WR ISPA”. From the hands of the design group “ISPA” – short for ‘Improvise, Scavenge, Protect, Adapt’ comes this new stylish shoe combining performance and looks in one to make a perfect sneaker for the winter time. With some inspiration from the ACG-lines Nike is now releasing an Element sneaker with a mid-cut style, a water resistant knit upper, hiking laces and the sweet React sole. This makes it a perfect choice the colder weather. As you can see it will also feature a new lacing system that will wrap around the ankle. Nike is releasing this model in 3…

A beautiful silhouette – Nike Zoom Fly Sp

I gotta admit that I’m quite fond of the Nike Zoom Fly Sp at the moment. For casual wear it’s probably my go to and for a casual run as well. This silhouette has been growing on me from the start and every time they release a new colorway I get a big urge to buy them.. It was originally designed and released as part of Nike’s Breaking 2 project and the release of their more exclusive Vaporfly 4% Elite. It has a very lightweight design and is originally designed for speed combined with a durable package and a lot of aesthetically beautiful features. It’s pretty identical to the regular Zoom Fly sole wise, but a bit lighter and the…

But how many shoes do you have??

I think one of the questions I get the most is this: “but how many shoes do you actually have?”. I guess the answer is – “I don’t know, but quite a few pairs” – most of them are shown in the picture above.. I think you can say that I have a small weakness for shoes (especially running shoes) and have had it for quite some time. I guess it’s my Achilles’ heel – I think we all have one.. I love trying out the latest releases and dive into some of the developments in materials, designs, technologies etc.. It’s not simply a shoe for me. It’s a combination of the materials, the technology in the sole, weight, heel…

Running in bad weather – Review/Test of the Nike Odyssey React Shield

I primarily bought this new Nike Odyssey React Shield model because of the “Shield”-update to see if they could be a good option for the upcoming colder and weat months. I used Nike’s Pegasus Shield model last year and was pretty satisfied with them so I had high hopes for this new release. I have had them for a couple of weeks now and my overall initial experience is quite positive. No shoe will keep your feet completely dry, if you run in pouring rain, but these are definitely an upgrade worth buying if you want to keep running through the winter months and are tired of getting your feet soaked at the first Small puddle of water. They come…

My Top 3 Running Shoes at the moment

RUNNING SHOES. Choosing the right pair of Running shoes can be a whole science in itself. There are so many opinions on this subject and I will not say anything is a 100% correct. – From all the studies I have read though and from my own experience the shoe that feels the best and fits good on your foot is usually a good option. I love trying out the new releases and new models coming out and I have tried quite a few running shoes in my time. I always come back to Nike’s shoes though because they simply feel really good on my foot and in my opinion they do release some of the most stylish running shoes out…

Latest Pickup – Nike x Gyakusou Zoom Fly SP

RUNNING SHOES. As soon as I saw the first picture form this new Nike x Gyakusou drop I knew i had to grap a pair. Last week Nike released a new collab with the Undercover founder Jun Takahashi. He is the brain behind there Gyakusou line which is a perfect combination of performance and style with a bit more emphasis on the fashion aspect than Nike’s normal running gear. This is usually also reflected in the price which is a bit steaper on the Gyakusuo lines but the quality and design always delivers. They dropped 3 colorways of the Zoom Fly SP which in my opinion is one of Nike’s top shoe releases. It is a beautiful running shoe but…
