New job and trying to get faster 🏃‍♂️

The new year has been good to me and from February I will officially be part of Copenhagen Care Center located at Østerbro right by the running track. Here I will be trying to create a Quality Physio  clinic with two of my good friends. I’m really looking forward to the challenge and the new environment. On the running front I have been trying to focus a bit more on getting back to the interval training and hopefully get a little bit faster again. During all this marathon training I have build up a really good endurance but I have also gotten really slow. My legs are really taking a beating from the intervals and I feel sore in a…

Interview with Sport24

In the end of 2018 I did a collaboration with Sport24 to help them put some spotlight on their motto that running is for everyone. Not just for the elite, but just as much for the casual runner who likes to run a couple of times a week and everything in between. I definitely support this and see it as one of the greatest things about running. It can be done at all levels, it’s very easy accessible and it’s a really good and functional way of using your body. I believe that we are created to move and use our bodies. Running is a great way of doing just that and a way I really enjoy. All this has ended…

New things happening – Time for a change in the new year

I already have a feeling that 2019 is going to be a really interesting year. I have a lot of both professional and personal goals for the new year. A few running goals as well but first of all I’m kicking the new year off with a change in my workplace. I started out working as a physiotherapist at a communal rehab facility right after graduating. The last 2 small years I have been working as a physiotherapist at a Private clinic where I have learned a bunch. I have had the opportunity to help a lot of people ranging from elite Soccer players to your regular older lady who’s  having trouble walking etc.. Not one individual is the same…

First impression of the Vomero 14 – Compared to the faster models

Running shoes. I got my new pair of the Nike Vomero 14 last week and have now had the chance to test them out for a couple of runs. As I wrote in my post about the details and technology behind this new release – the Vomero 14 is actually a whole new shoe and not just a follow up to the Vomero 13. I was very happy to here that since I’m actually not really a big fan of the 13’ model. I have really liked the Vomero model in the past but the Vomero 13 was just not a good update in my opinion. The Vomero 14 has definitely gotten an upgrade though and in short if your…

Keep your sneakers and trainers clean – Make them look like new..

Following my post about CleanSneaks and how to make shoes smell good again I also wanted to do prober review of their cleaning supplies. To keep all our shoes looking good and maybe even bring new life to some of those old trainers. I have tested out their Original Sneakers Kit which is also the one I have been using for the last couple of years.   In this kit you will find the following products: – Cleaning soap – Brush – Small cleaning towel It is so easy to use and will make a huge improvement in just a few minutes. You simply apply the soap directly on your sneaker. Then add a bit of water to your brush and…

Do your sneakers, trainers or running shoes smell?? – CleanSneaks

We all know the smell of old training shoes.. Not the best. I often get compliments for how clean and new my sneakers look and it’s been something I have always tried to be on top of. If you take care of your shoes they can last for a long time and can indeed stay fresh looking and even smelling. CleanSneaks is a company I have been using for quite a few years now. Basically since they started coming out with their own products. It’s a small company that started with just a couple of young guys based out of an apartment at Nørrebro, Copenhagen. They produce cleaning supplies and Refresher products for sneakers/training shoes. Their products is produced in…

New in town – Nike Air Zoom Vomero 14

New shoe in town. The Nike Air Zoom Vomero 14 has just released and it is actually a whole new model and not just a follow up to the Vomero series. The only similarity to the previous Vomero is the weight.  It is supposed to be Nike’s new heavy duty trainer for those long runs and a lot of mileage. The Vomero 14 has a mesh upper with flywire and padding at the heel but with the flare away from your heel to avoid irritation of the Achilles. It has a full length Zoom Air unit and uses React Foam in the sole – which I’m a big fan of.  A great combination for this one. The drop goes from 22…

Slowly getting back – And big changes to come

After a race I like to use the first couple of weeks to just train whatever I feel like and what my body wants.  This is basically to give myself a bit of a mental and physical break from being on a strict schedule for the months leading up to the race. So instead of burning myself out and jumping straight back into a new training cycle this allows me to regain the motivation and desire for chasing a new goal. After a couple of weeks I’m usually really motivated to get back to a set schedule and chase something new. This is after all how I work best. So at the moment I’m Just slowly getting back to running…

1 week post marathon update

1 full week has passed and I have taken this week completely off from running to let the body recover. I’m still flying a bit high on the experience and the lovely days in San Sebastián. It was a really nice trip and after a tough period of training it’s always nice to be able to put a ✔ at another marathon. I have used this week to get my body ready again.  Spent some time on the bike doing active recovery and done some strengt and core-work. The body feels really good this time around and I’m ready to get back to it. I’m not entirely sure what my next race will be, but the next big goal is a good…
